Greetings and hello to all you fine males and females out there, I hope you have had an amazing week, I know I have. Home MTC (mission training center) has been such a blessing to me over the past week and a half. For those who didn’t get my first email, my companion for the first three weeks of my mission is Elder Stinson. He is a pretty cool guy. We both like legos so to start it all off, me and Elder Stinson showed each other the legos that we have. Side note on that– over the past week we had some personal time and because I like to keep busy, I have built and collected five Formula 1 race cars. My companion doesn't live near me so we use messenger to communicate and I found him on Facebook. Our mission training is 1.5 week at home doing classes online and 1.5 at the Provo MTC going to classes in person and learning the ropes. We also have personal study and companion study times. I have learned a lot. I was able to go to the temple twice during home MTC and I always find peace there.
Big news!!! Wednesday the 21st I will be reporting to the
Provo MTC and I am filled with joy and so excited to take one step closer to
getting out to Oklahoma and preaching the word of God to the people out there.
Going on a mission truly is one of the greatest honors for a young man or woman.
A mission will change us for the rest of our life. It is not something that’s
easy. It's a lot to leave behind friends, family, your home, your state -or
country in some cases and yes, sometimes you have to leave your truck at home.
I've heard it's not always sunshine and rainbows but you learn and gain so much
out of it that it is worth the two years away. Our relationship with God will be
strengthened and to anyone who reads this, I hope this inspires you to go on a
mission and I hope I can be an inspiration to anyone thinking about serving. If
I can do it, you can too.
My mother has gotten some fun pictures of me during my
home MTC. My zoom teachers were Sister Gross ( from Canada ) and Brother Tolman
(from Utah). They are both so awesome. Unfortunately, Brother Toman was sick
last week and we only had two lessons with him. His substitute was Sister Bell
who was also awesome. They share inspiring messages and when they teach I feel
the Spirit. I’m excited to meet them, my companion and the other missionaries in
my District, in person this Wednesday. Well folks, can't wait to keep updating
you about what will happen this coming week. I love all of you, but don't worry
I will be back in two years.
