What is up and greetings all you fine males and females, hope you are all crushing at life! Lawton is truly blessed and I have gained and learned so much here. It's been so amazing to look back at the growth I have been having but let's get right into it..
Spiritual thought
Do you truly strive to live like Jesus Christ?
This week I have felt very prompted to talk about our commitments we make with God/our covenants. To put it simple, a covenant is a two way promise with God—He sets the conditions and we promise to follow them and His examples
We promise to
. Take His name upon us
. Repent when we have our faults or sins
. And obey His commandments
Those are just a few. God promises us something in return if we follow all His commandments and keep the covenants we make. He can give us blessings in life and ease up our burdens and importantly the Holy Ghost can always be with us. The Holy Ghost can speak to us strongest when we choose to follow and are striving to become like Jesus by doing His works.
But as humans naturally are, we don't want to give up some of our worldly desires or wants. We may have addictions or we care more about work and money but if we choose to follow God, He can help us overcome those addictions and help us not worry about our worldly desires. Repentance is change—our hearts, our desires change.
If we put our worldly desires first we show God that we are not willing to put Him first in our life and in all honesty we are being selfish and we are putting our wants above God. So my question to all of you is to ponder if you are putting God first or if you are putting your personal wants first. If not, choose to make the change today to make God more a part of your day whether its reading the scriptures first thing in the morning or before bed- set aside 10 or 30 minutes for Him and I can promise you God can give you blessings for choosing Him first.

P-day was a good day! we started off our morning sleeping right as it hit 8:00 (usually we wake up at 6:30am but p-day does not officially start till 8:00am) I put some laundry in and went back to my bed, Elder Siddoway was already asleep when I walked in 😆 after an hour or so we woke up and went to a goodwill store where I got 2 new ties. after that we headed to the church to meet up with the other elders in Lawton and we all just chilled, played football, basketball and I took my rope and was roping a chair 😆 it was pretty sigma. A member of our church ward got us all pizza which was awesome! Towards the end of the night we had a guy that reached out to us and wanted to talk to us but did not respond to our texts till the next day but over all was a great day.

Man what a day! 2 miracles today
to start off our schedule was crazy! The morning started with my mentor meeting and it was good-we set some good goals for the week
Afterwards we went to Visit some people and teach a lesson, sadly no one answered and after that we headed to lunch with the other Lawton elders yet again at Sam's club such good food and affordable!!! After Sam's club we continued to work hard and our first miracle was a guy named Tee and hes the guy that reached out the night before. He wanted to learn more about our church and he was in a bad relationship when missionaries had tried to talk to him in the past but his relationship was over which made it so he could talk to us now that he had broken up with her. We set up a time to meet him on Saturday. our other miracle was a lady named Rebecca who wanted to meet with us. She had been kicked out of her old church because of her past but it turns out her husband was the guy I helped work on the car with a week ago and it's crazy to see how that small act made someone interested in wanting to learn more about the gospel from us so we will continue to teach both of them starting Sunday. They are coming to Palm Sunday service.

ZONE CONFERENCE!!!
Man what an amazing zone conference! I got to see some elders i have made good friendships with and the lessons we had were so good! we focused on Are you a planter, or a harvester? To make a long long lesson short, as missionaries we want to be the harvesters and gather those who are ready to enter in the waters of baptism and who want to strengthen their testimony with God. After zone conference we walked around and taught a lesson with a friend who unfortunately isn’t quite ready to commit to the promises she would be making with God at baptism. everyone is working at a different pace, some need a little more time and that’s ok.

Well today we taught our friend Robert and we played restoration Janga. He wanted to punch the tower over. We let him eventually do it and he had a lot of fun. He understood everything well. We are hoping hell have the desire to create a baptism date. pray he will want to make that covenant! after Robert we went and taught Chuck our other friend and he is super cool he loves to talk about his days in the army and he was super interested when we taught him about the restoration of Jesus Christs church. he especially loved how we talked about the three witnesses of Christ- the Holy bible, Book of Mormon and the Holy Ghost. After that we shared Joseph Smith's first vision which for anyone who does not know, we as missionaries learn to recite two things: our mission purpose and Joseph Smith's first vision. for anyone serving a mission soon or thinking about serving, learn to recite Joseph Smith's first vision, its so powerful to share to someone who has never heard of the Book of Mormon. After Chuck we had a chill rest of the night.

Sunday was as always a chill day- woke up at 6:30 and left the apartment at 7:20 for Fort Sill and went over to get ready for Sunday service for the AIT soldiers and it was a good sacrament service. We were able to talk and get to know some of the men there. After our service on base, we went to our home church ward so we could be there for the Palm Sunday service which was super cool! after that it was a slow day but Its ok sometimes you need to work through the hard slow days to get to the good spiritual experiences.

Well today was good. We started off our day biking sadly elder Siddoways tire popped so we had to get it back to the apartment. While there, we had lunch with the Zone leader elders and after went to visit our friend Willy in the hospital. He has been feeling dizzy and fell Sunday so he had to go to the hospital. He seemed to be doing good, he just needed to be watched for a few days before he could go home. after that it was a slow day sadly but its ok it takes time and patience to get to the good ones.
