Chat what is up all you fine males and females! Hope ya’ll are doing fantastic, much has happened here. First off, we have transfer news- i will be staying in Skiatook and will have a new companion. Elder Hunting is opening a new mission area so let's go! I'm so excited to stay in Skiatook, it literally is home to me here. The ward is so awesome, I love everyone here but lets get into the news
Jun 3
Went to the Oklahoma City Temple and did an endowment session and it was so good to be at the temple– much needed for sure! The drive was so fun, we went with Elder Ricks and Elder Dival and had a great time. After that we went to Sam's club for lunch. Thanks mom for getting us in! It was so delicious 😋 but after Sam's club we headed back home and chilled for a little and lived out the day.
Jun 4th
Today was super sigma! We went to a fun Primary Camp at our stake church building and helped. We taught a lesson on the Tree of Life using sidewalk chalk and it was so fun. Also we saw Abigail there- she is so excited to be baptized. After that we ran over to the food pantry and helped out there. It was super fun and Elder Hunting said his goodbyes and then we went to work. We had a super amazing time with Johnny, we met a drunk guy, his name was Dewy. He started off bashing us then out of the blue started telling us what we do is super cool- so gotta love the guy.
Jun 5th
Today we had an exchange with the Claremore area elders and some other elders. We were in Claremore all day and it was so fun to talk and meet new people. I hope to serve in Claremore one day. It was named for the Osage Native American Chief Claremore. Also, I met a family whose daughter is doing lamb shows so it was fun to see that and talk about it again. It's their first time showing a lamb so it was fun to answer some small questions for them. They said “hopefully you're here around September when our county fair is so you can help” I hope so too.
Jun 6th
What a special day for Abigail and us. She got baptized and confirmed as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints! She was so excited the whole time and it was so awesome to see her bright smile, she has been waiting a long time. She is leading her family and is such a great example to all of us. After that we went to Johnny's house. He is so awesome, we talked about some deep gospel doctrine and then Dewy pulled up and and he was probably 10 beers in. Such an amazing guy, hope he remembers our visit 😆 but over all a good day
Jun 7th
Fast and testimony meeting today, it was so awesome. We had Johnny show up and he came with Dewy and they both loved church and I bore my testimony and it was so awesome! After that we went to dinner at the Goodwins and they live in a big tent. While we were there we got our transfer news so that’s when we found out elder hunting is leaving and I am staying in Skiatook. I will miss him but I can't wait to keep working hard in this blessed land.
